• Transferring a deceased's property into the names of beneficiaries under a Will.
• Dealing with subsequent matters which arise under a Will or during the estate administration (e.g. winding up a Trust or transferring a property into Trust).
• Preparing Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney to assist with clients' estate planning needs.
• Advising clients on the current Inheritance Tax position and whether their estate is likely to incur a tax charge.
• Completing the first registration of a property's title deeds with the Land Registry.

James joined Premier Solicitors Private Client department in September 2020 as a Paralegal. James went on to do his training contract and qualified as a Solicitor in April 2023.

Hobbies and interests

James is a big fan of football and rugby, in particular Newcastle United and Newcastle Falcons. Although he does not describe himself as much of a football player he has played rugby around the world including in Australia and Italy. James also enjoys going to the gym, bike rides, playing video games and spending time with his friends.
